A "mystery beast" responsible for the slaughter of three sleddogs on Reindeer Lake in northern Manitoba has the inhabitants of a local Indian reserve running scared. Chief Joe Dantouze say no one has ever seen dogs killed in that particular way, and others claim to have spotted an unknown beast on the lake, but no description was given. Residents were advised to avoid the lake for the time being.
