There is a "comments" function on this newsblog, and readers are encouraged to make use of it by posting their commentary, views or reactions to topics or items. If you're going to comment, though, better do so while the entry is fresh. The comments function gets shut down after a week or two on older entries, an unhappy necessity to prevent endless spamming from shyster lawyers, prescription-drug pushers, online gambling operations, and similar web-lice.
